One year. HOW has it been one whole year photographing this sweet, beautiful, smiley boy?? Gosh, when I say that baby plans are the best, I want to shout it to the roof tops!! Because babies don’t keep, and they change so much every month of their first year of life. And I am so happy to document every milestone showing it all.

I distinctly remember handsome Wilder’s newborn session with his adorable romper (that his momma had him in, she has impeccable taste!), and I just thought they were the most beautiful family. Check it out here to see just how perfect they are!!! And here we are 5 sessions later and he is so big and cute!!

Just a little info on my baby plan! It is designed to have a session about every three months starting at 3 months old. They are made to capture the big milestones. Like smiling at three months, sitting around 6 months, pulling up and standing at 9 months, and of course their first birthday celebrating with a smash cake! The best part of the baby plan is that you receive a complimentary album at the end of the year with images from each session! Leaving you with their first year beautifully documented in one heirloom quality album. I absolutely love it, and I especially love seeing your sweet baby grow and change throughout the year. Contact me today for more details and to get yours started with your little one!!

Check out Wilder’s sessions here!

Oh beautiful Hannah it’s hard to believe that one year has already come!! I have loved working with this beautiful family over the last FIVE years! I remember when I did big sister Claire’s one year session! And how could I forget Hannah’s gorgeous three month session HERE. As you can see from both of these sessions, Claire has so much love for her baby sister and it makes my heart smile so big!

This cake smash is one of my favorites! I love keeping these type of sessions simple and focus on baby and I think this was a perfect blend of a rainbow details and simplicity! Make sure to contact me with any ideas you have for your baby’s one year session!!

Aren’t baby sisters the best? I think I have a soft spot for when families get a new baby girl :) Not only did I get a perfect baby sister when I was a little girl, but my baby boy got a sister too and it’s the sweetest!

This sweet baby girl did so great at her newborn session and don’t even get me started on the cutest big brother ever!!! I have loved photographing this family from momma’s milkbath session, to their family maternity session and now sweet Everly’s newborn session. I can’t wait watch her grow and change as she gets older!

Want to get in on a big secret?? Grandmothers LOVE getting photo sessions as gifts. Yup, to have their whole family together, documenting memories and capturing certain times in life are the best to them! When my good friend reached out to me to gift her mother in law a session for Christmas, I was so happy to oblige!! I absolutely love capturing the moments that I know will make hearts happy! Because little ones won’t be little forever, and teenagers won’t be home for long. I adored photographing this beautiful family and it made it that much sweeter that I got to do this for my friends!

I will always suggest photo sessions as gifts because who doesn’t want the gift of everlasting memories captured in a beautiful, professional, and timeless way! Contact me to get a gift certificate for those that are special in your life today!!

{happy birthday hollis - dallas, ga baby photographer}

Happy birthday to sweet Hollis!! Goodness, he is just the cutest ever and I swear if his parents let me, I would keep him! When his momma told me that the theme would be an airplane I got so excited. And when I saw the classic wooden airplane I fell in love! And of course, Hollis did so well with it and gave the cutest smiles and was absolutely adorable in his pilot’s helmet.

I consider my style to be very simple and neutral focusing mainly on baby, but I adore when we can add props that go along with my aesthetic. And this airplane and helmet go absolutely perfectly!

I would love to try more simple styles and see just how well it will look with my style!! Contact me with any ideas for your one-year photo session!

{harrison is going to kindergarten - carrollton family photographer}

The day is here. My sweet boy is going to “big kid” school and is not looking back! You know, he’s been in “school” since he was about one by going to a mommy’s morning out program a couple days a week, then went to (pre) pre-k then official pre-k last year, so this isn’t our first rodeo. But today felt different. Today felt like it was real. Like he’s officially a big kid and not my baby boy anymore. It’s a big milestone that he is all too excited to bring on and I’m so happy and grateful for his amazing attitude towards it.

This morning as I was walking him in, he didn’t want to hold my hand so he could hang on to his backpack straps like a big kid. (Although I made him lol) He was telling everyone good morning as we passed and even exclaimed to one teacher, “I’m the new kid here!”. He went straight down the hall saying, “this smells like my old school!”. Went straight into his classroom and was anxious to get our pictures over with so he could get to his desk/table and meet new friends. I am so thankful that he is such a social and outgoing kid! He has no problem meeting people and making them smile and I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite attribute of his :)

I finally let my tears fall as I got back in my car although they almost escaped as a teacher asked “you okay momma?” as I was leaving the building. It’s a new chapter and he is going to do SO well, I am 100% positive on it! And if you need me, this momma will be over here wiping my tears and counting down the hours to ask my baby boy how his first day of kindergarten was!

This is one of my favorite families ever! If you’ve followed me a while, you’ll probably notice Whitney and her gorgeous family! She has been with me for years and I am beyond grateful for her loyalty and for allowing me to photograph her sweet little ones from the very beginning stages! Watching handsome JJ grow and come into his own has been a privilege thus far!! So when she asked for me to do a full family session with her family from out of town my astounding answer was YES!

I heard the tragic news of their dad passing at Whitney’s maternity session and my heart dropped. I never got the pleasure of meeting him, but you can tell a lot of a person from what legacy they left, and I have only heard the MOST amazing attributes and what an amazing man he truly was. I will always regret not being able to give these sweet family portraits with that amazing man, but I know that even I felt his presence there with us while I was photographing this beautiful family. My heart and condolences go out to them with the biggest feeling imaginable and I only hope I did Dad proud by photographing his amazing family and beautiful grandkids!
